Aloha to all, I am new to this and thought I would give it a try. I have been playing for over 35 years but never as a living. I have used many different rigs over the years and have now settled with the Line 6 floor Pod Plus. I do play in a band that gigs regularly and I want to add some of the old flavor back into the band. So my question is I have been trying to get the effect to play Eddy VanHalens "Cathedral" I know it is not a song played a lot anymore but has anybody found it on this equipment?
Mahaol,
Dan
I watched on youtube. it sounds like his overdrive, a chorus pedal, some phasing, and a lot of volume knob.
not sure if any of that is on your pedal.
I just did a quick internet check definely volume swells on the individual notes along with a dotted eigth delay if you can beleive what you read.
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
I believe it. I typed in Google, " Cathedral Van Halen youtube.
there were several vids. they all showed him tapping the riff with the fretting hand
the right hand was furiously working the volume knob.
the guitar was a double neck. his FX were unseen.
