Oh no, you've been reading Zachary again!

I thought that equal-tension, or progressive-tension, might be especially relevant for bass, so I made up a custom set using his theory and the tension listings at D'addario (which are inconsistent, by the way.)

But the end result was that the tone was very unbalanced, with the D and G sounding thin and too trebly relative to the bigger E and A. I'll stick with a standard pack of 45-100s or 45-105s, for better balanced tone at the expense of balanced tension.
