Hi all

I am trying to work with Vic's great version of Paint it Black on the easy songs database.

What i want to do is play around a bit with the meody on the main verse bit.

I have the following

(F)i (G)see(A)a(B)red(A)door(G)and(F)i(F)want(E)it(F)pain(G)ted(???) black

So what's the missing note at the end chaps?

thanks a lot

Matt

If that's in D minor (and for some reason I think that's the key Vic put it in - my apologies if I'm wrong about that), then you actually want to take the melody line down a third:

(D)i (E)see(F)a(G)red(F)door(E)and(D)i(D)want(C#)it(D)pain(E)ted(D hammer to E pickoff to D and then C#) black

I usually play it in E minor - that way you can do all the melody on the B string while playing the open high E (first) string as a drone:

(E)i (F#)see(G)a(A)red(G)door(F#)and(E)i(E)want(D#)it(E)pain(F#)ted(E hammer to F# pickoff to E and then C#) black

or, if you prefer tab (remember all notes are on B string):

(5)i (7)see(8)a(10)red(8)door(7)and(5)i(5)want(4)it(5)pain(7)ted(5(H)7(P)5(P)4) black

Hope this helps.

Peace
