All,
I'm considering getting an ES-175 for primarily blues playing.
I also want to play some classic rock as well. I've been told
the ES-175 is a true Jazz guitar and would not be the best
for blues. Is that true?
Thanks!

You can play just about anything on just about anything. Pick a guitar that 'speaks' to you, and if and when you get that special connection to the instrument, you can play anything on it.
I've heard rock played on a 175 and a Byrdland, and I've heard blues played on a Telecaster. The type of instrument itself doesn't matter. It's you and how you're connected to it.
