Geoo I don't want to get off topic or anything but what does the son who plays drums practice when he does practice??? My little brother is one of those people that is a natural drummer but he hates to practice. Any thing you can suggest to practice cuz' there aren't any people that give lessons around here.

No problem. Well, now he is taking lessons and plays to backing tracks that have the drums cut out. Its stuff his teacher gives him. He gets the sheet music and plays to the BT while reading off the sheet music. But before the teacher I would put in his favorite CDs.. usually Beatles or Green Day.. and he would play along with that.

Good luck to your brother.

I always wonder what sheet music for a drum kit looks like. I think it must be just plain scary.

Fortunately, it's not too complicated at all.

After all. They're not the brightest band members...

LOL Thats true.. About the sheet music I mean. Each line represents a particular drum. Pretty easy.. atleast his is.

 I was thinking the same thing!

Congrats Geoo - my one year old really digs my bass, but it's tough to play while he's holding onto the headstock. I'm looking forward to jamming with him someday! 8)

Oh  Todd is the oldest(!8) and the third nephew ( I should have said 3). He is the one in the army  the 13 year old could probably strap on a M-16 or mount a tank, but that would be for hunting deer

Todd will be home for 30 days then he goes to Germany( then Iraq) for further training( he just got out of basic) So I plan to get down to my sisters and have a Jam session be for he goes back. I will post pics and Audio :D --the dog

Dont you know it. We played again last night and had a pretty neat progression going. Told the kids we'd record it in a few days when we get just a little better at it.

Thanks for all the comments.. highly suggest this to anyone with kids. Best family time we have spent together in a long time.
