Great song - Savannah Fare You Well - Help please!

Our band is covering Savannah Fare You well see http://hughprestwood.com/ We have an acoustic player rhythm guitar and I play lead. I'm at a loss for what to do with this one. I don't want to try and play the mandolin and pedal steel parts with my Strat or acoustic or 12 string acoustic, but I'd like to put in some lead lines. Any suggestions (especially recorded suggestions would be great). As of now, I sort of noodle in Em Pentatonic between stanzas and improv a solo in the same. Thanks.
