I hope you come back home soon brother!
no chance in that... got about 9 months to go.. I just hope my new Martin doesnt get a Purple Heart.. and since i forgot my old pass word and had to make a new profile i am very dismayed that i am now back to the rank of "newbie"

They let you have a guitar in the military?
Stay safe!
Take care of yourself! Enjoy that Martin!

Thank you for serving, in whatever capacity you are in. Americans everywhere think about your sacrifice every day. At least I know my family does.
Congrats on the Martin!! Do you have some type of barracks or something to stay in? How will you store it? 8)

Even as a firm believer in "Regime change begins at home" I have to tell you I still really appreciate the sacrifices you are making on my behalf.
Keep your head down and rock on Chris.
If you need an emergency care package of picks or strings, let me know.
Stay safe, kick ass and rock on brotha. A heartfelt thank you to you and your brothers (and sisters) serving with you. 8)

Hear, hear!
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
That's great to have a guitar to help get through the days. When I was deployed to Bosnia for half a year I decided to bring along my bass. When we got there everyone was so surprised. “How'd you get it here?†Being in supply helped. I still laugh. I knew not one note on that thing but it was still fun to “play†and make my deployment easier. Keep us updated. I can hear Neil Young chanting “No Purple Hearts, no purple hearts……†
"Nothing...can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts."
Thank you for your service.
Enjoy the guitar.
You know i'm not american but i wish you the best and get back safe.

And all the things you said to me
I need your arms to welcome me
But a cold stone's all I see
Let my heart go
Thanks to you and all the other brave soldiers out there!
Stay safe and Rock the Kasbah!
