sorry no pic. it does look alot like a Gretch country with the Bigsby. it is the same orange color too.
that said.
a friend showed up at a jam with this gorgeous Guild. a rounded cutawa. Bigsby whammy bar, wo DeAromd pickups ( they are the not the solid chrome ones ason Gretches , but two toned with exposed pole pieces.).
block inlays and white binding on an orange finish.
he sent me the model number from inside the F hole. it is stamped on the back of the headstock.
on he label inside it reads:
X-160 CB 000181
he bought from a collector thinning his collection. hasnt been played and was stored in a case. it is mint.
I havent been able to find an image or model anywhere. google didnt help.
it is not a Starfire. the pickups are different and the utaway is rounded and not Florentine.
any help? links?
thanks.
I remember that model x160 when i was falling in love with the Guild X170 Manhattan.

Nice guitar though!
that's the model. the links show it perfectly.
cant suss out the serial numbers. I went through the list and didnt see CB 000181.
it plays really nice. rockabilly huh?!
Very odd. The CB serial number seems to belong to a Mark II, whatever that may be. The X160 seemed to have either HJ or AJ serial numbers.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

odd indeed.
I went thru the serial numbers chart I found on the web. I couldnt find a CB anywhere.
I also suspect that this could be a new guitar.
