Ralph Bown
Ever seen any of his work? The Stella copy looks interesting. Don't even want to think about the price

amazing how the old and cheap can suddenly be desireable, isn't it?

Not that Ralph's guitars are in anyway constructed like the old Stellas. They are beautiful guitars.

So you are looking for an OM model slot head?

Yep. I'd like something between the AMI and the dreadnought with a 1 3/4 nut. I'm not in too much of a hurry t, I'd like it to be a nice one. Though I can't quite decide on a sensible price range, but several steps up from the AMI I think.
Nice to know Ralph makes good guitars, they ought to be at that price :)

I suppose Larrivee is the obvious choice, but even that might be going to far.

So Nick, do you have any OM sized guitars you want to off load?

OM or smaller, I tried a Larrivee O-50 today that I really liked. Nice balance for both fingerstyle and strumming. But how come all the guitars I thought were a real step up from the AMI were C$2100 and up?!?

Check your email, I think I wrote Concert which is Taylor's designation, but it is either a 00 or an OM size in Martin speak.

Right, let me think about it. Is the nut on the narrow side?

Yes, it's a standard width.
