Well, Since I just recently Got my Jackson I havent really been caring much for the Epi LP. I think The last time i changed the strings on the epi was like 5 months ago. They ARE SOO DIRTY and Have the stupidest Sound to them, its funny. The Jackson i changed the strings about once a month. Or if a string breaks... :wink:

I change strings whenever i think I need to....if a guitar doesn't sound good, and doesn't feel good...
Acoustics, generally about 4-6 weeks, depending on wear...
Electrics, more often....they get used more....
Bass I've had since April and still haven't changed strings....
12 string, I've re-strung once...and DREADING the next time....boy do I take care of those strings....

I wait way too long. I change then when I can't stand them any longer.
I've never broken a string, ever, and I'll be up to 2 years of playing next month.
