Hi,
Im trying to sell my guitar but I wanna do some DIY repair first.
There are 3 smallish chips in the paint - Its a very cheap, solid black finish and so only has one layer (hence the chip goes right through the paint) so it should be an easy repair job right? So how exactly do I do it? It doesnt have to be flawlessly integrated with the origional paint or anything...

If its clear laquered ......

colour superglue with marker ink and drop some of that on the chip before it goes off make it slightly higher than the chip and once its dry scrape excess off with sharp razor blade .
Make sure to hold razor blade vertical to guitar body and scrape carefully backwards and forwards , do not slice excess glue off and then finish this with very fine wet and dry (2000 grit) and car cutting paste or tcut .

I actually dont colour the super glu but just use correct colour marker or or nail varnish on the bare wood letting it fully dry before dropping on clear superglue.

Good easy fix and done right wont be noticeable

Dont give a shite about punctuation or spelling , I have to do that all day at work.
Free times for rocking !!
