...actually bought a used travel guitar off eBay....
1. sight unseen and
2. right handed (I'm LH).
Beat that.
Thinking about trying out a conversion kit called "Saddleboy". Might make an interesting project. Hope it doesn't end up in a million pieces by the time I get through with it. Anyone ever have experience with the Saddleboy kit? (player or luthers) By the time I get through with this little guitar it will prob. cost me more to fix it than I paid for it.
I really need to pull it together....

They say only a pawnshop guitar can play the blues. An eBay one does it better. A guitar's bound to feel unloved if her owner plasters pictures of her over the internet for all to see and then sells her off to the highest anonymous bidder.
GAS is a terrible thing to waste.
Or something like that. :D
Sounds like a fun project, and if you didn't pay too much for it, I don't think I'd worry too much. Besides, you could always end up paying someone to fix it once you're done. :P

So, for us mechanically enthused why don't you post some before and after pictures.
Good luck :!:
Hehehehe, I'm gonna release my gas tonight :D
Gonna buy my USA Jackson Soloist.
I'm new here, so you gonna tell me what GAS is?

And welcome to GN!

Yes i understand, every time i go to the guitar shop i'm tempted.....so i try and stay away
I'll see what I can do about the pictures. I'm not sure if I can top the "scalloped fretboard" one, though.
It's just a cheap little "Montana" travel guitar, used at that. It's not like I'm doing a Martin D28. Might be fun. Projects like this always turn out to be three times as much work as I estimated....

Please don't. Not sure if I could deal with the pain

I enjoy projects like this just as much as if I am doing it myself. Still fun to watch how people attack a project and the outcome.
