. . . I've worked out an equation for GAS:

Afternoon off work + guitar shop = new purchase

So, after playing about for hours in the shop, I ended up walking out with this:

It's a Baby Taylor which as an (apparently) limited edition Maple back and sides rather than the usual mahogany (?).

I have been after a more portable guitar for ages now, although I have a cheap dreadnought acoustic, it's a bit big to travel with. This little Taylor on the other hand is completely different!
I was blown away with the tone, really fantastic and much louder (especially given it's new too) than the size would suggest. To say that it isn't the most elaborately decorated guitar would be an understatement, but it is attractive in it's own way.

Methinks now I need to learn some new songs to play and stick on youtube! :D

That's not a Spear Gladius SP!?!

Which, by the way, they happen to have in stock in Curly Music in Liverpool. Fancy heading by for a jam this weeknd?

Sweet guitar, though. I wouldn't mind one myself, if I didn't have 101 other things to be contemplating (read "panicking about"). Do post some audio!

Change of heart! I actually went in to look at Telecasters, but despite tinkering with the lot from Squiers to USA Teles, none of them did anything for me. So I headed upstairs to the acoustic section . . .

I could possibly do a jam this weekend actually . . .? Has your mobile committed suicide again btw? My texts don't seem to be getting through!

Baby Taylors are fantastic. Just love the action on those guitars, almost comparable to electrics.
Very nice to play and the tone 8)
Congratulations on your acquisition.

Congrats man! Yeah, those taylors can BOOM when you strike 'em. Gotta like it.
