Hi Folks,
Since getting my new 12-string a few days ago, I've been playing it virtually non-stop. (Just can't get enough of that full, rich sound!) Just for kicks, a moment ago I picked up a 6-string and played it a bit. My initial thought was -- "Mercy! This thing really sounds anemic!" So it's back to the twelve for this ol' country boy, where I may stay from now on...

That happens from time to time. Everyone seems to find what guitar and equipment that works best for them.

I got one a few days ago too (Alvarez jumbo model.) Tough to put it down - it has such a nice, bell-like tone. Chimes from Heaven!
However, it did inspire me to tune my Yamaha six-string to DADGAD and try a few Celtic tunes. I plan to leave the Yamaha like that, and have the 12-string in standard tuning.
