Spent all weekend trying to figure out the chords for Jeff Healey's version of "Angel". Most was no problem, but the intro and bridge (one and the same I believe) have me beat. If anyone can help I will be eternally grateful
45 years playing and still rubbish.
jeff Healy is a fantastic blues player.
he is blind and plays the guitar across his lap.
I dont know that tune.
playing the way he does I wonder if he is open tuned. it would explain a few reasons why some parts are hard to figure out.
I googled it and came up with this
http://www.911tabs.com/tabs/j/jeff_healey/angel_tab.htm
Don't know how to play it myself, but on a sidenote Jeff Healey's club (Healey's) is around the corner from my house. 8)
Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.

I found this on his web site :
Q: Why does Jeff play the guitar sitting down?
Jeff responds: With my first guitar, I tuned it to a chord and used a slide and then someone taught me standard tuning a few years later. I tried playing guitar the normal way, but I just wasn't very comfortable. So, I decided to hold it on my lap and work out all the chords that way. [Jeff uses his thumb to hit notes beyond the reach of other players.]
I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head
So I looked like I was deep
Thanks for the advice. I had checked the net and found that all sites have the same tab - and it is not for any piece of music I have heard! I even tried the Hendrix tab but that was no help. I will just keep worrying away at it. If anyone comes up with anything, let me know. Thanks.

Finally got it sorted out. Got a version by Jimi Hendrix in Guitar Pro format and from there I worked out the chords (after transposing to Jeff Healey's key) Sounds great.
