Was wondering if anyone had any good tabs of night time lullabies for children.? Boys have been off and on sick lately and thought it could help them get to sleep.
How about "Blackbird", good arrangement in the lessons pages, or "Golden Slumbers"? This used to put my daughters to sleep when they were not feeling well, and I used to SING it! (can't play it while I was holding them!)
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......
like the passengers in his car.

Summertime is terrific, and very easy to play in Open G minor tuning. (DGDGBbD, low to high.) No tab, I figured it out myself so you know it's not hard.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
"Goodnight" by The Beatles, Yeah, I forgot about that one, one of my favorites. :D

my personal favorite "Mary Had A Little Lamb" SRV
How young are the kids, and how simple do you need the tabs?
Something like theseperhaps?
One I play for my kids (3&6 years old) is "Hush little baby".
2 chords ( D & A7 ), 2 strums per bar.
Dead simple.

The Rainbow Connection is a nice soothing song. Not tab, but chords and lyrics for it are here:

Here it is on youtube, sung by Kermit the Frog, who made it famous:

Hope your boys get done with the winter and childhood illnesses soon.

When my mind is free, you know a melody can move me
And when I'm feelin' blue, the guitar's comin' through to soothe me ~
thanks to all,
my boys are 3 + 5 and love anything and everything music (my fault..oops). I haven't checked out all the links and suggestions yet, but I can play Blackbird.
I guess I am looking for something soft and melodic. Something to help soothe them to sleep, not want to get up and jam with me:))))
Thanks Margaret for the well wishes. sweet.
BTW nuno, that song you linked brought back some memories. My pops used to play that for me when I was wee little sprite.

It was one of the first pieces I learnt for piano. When I practiced some difficult ones, I used to play it just for fun as the last exercise of the day. When you asked for lullabies, I remembered it. I never played on guitar but for piano was very easy.
I think you should write your own. There isn't enough music like this.
