Today I picked up the Squier vintage modified thinline telecaster I put on layaway on my B day and I could not be happier.
I have some pic's of it.

Very cool guitar.

I prefer your pickguard shape to the standard one

Thanks guys :D last night when I was playing the Tele I noticed that when you turn the volume knob from about 2-4 it will make a cracking noise but if you are touching one of the strings it isn't as noticeable. Do you guys have an idea about what it might be?

Sounds like it my be poorly shielded, if it's shielded at all. But it is a a squire so it wouldn't come as much of a surprise. Not too much of a big deal but if it really bothers me I'm sure someone can direct you to a DIY shielding fix.
