So a few weeks ago I noticed a dude playing who's backup guitar was this crazy type of guitar I'd never seen becfore.

I examined it then, but couldn't keep my brain around the brand name... but now I have it!

It's a D'Haitre, this particular model was a beautiful neck through with a floyd rose, duncan X2N, ebony fretboard, jackson-esque headstock, emerald green finish, and a beautiful abalone inlay of the brand name down the fretboard. The neck thickness is very desirable (for me anyhow) and the fret work is impeccable.

Last time I talked to him, he believed it was of french origin, but an exhaustive hunt has brought me only the fact that it was in fact made in Washington, US.

If anyone knows anything about these, has one or knows someone who has one, knows where to get one, etc, spill it! I'd love to find the maker and order myself one.

I found one pic online for sale on consignment, asking about $1500

Then I wouldn't buy one if I were you.

Odd, there are a couple of Washington locations when you speak of Washington, state and DC. 202 is the DC area code, 206 is washington state.

I'll be happy to call the DC one.

Actually, I just looked up the city for the Maple falls one and it's Washington state.

I think it's more because of the ugly pink color than anything else... I spent a few mins with a photo editor, is this better?

or...

And this is probably something like what greybeard's mystery guitar looked like...

Yeah...it was definately the pink...that was just disgusting. A few scratches might've done it real good...or maybe a gash...or maybe ANY other colour...

Hey there ace, that was me! My mystery guitar!

And it's actually quite a bit darker incidentally. Honestly, this particular pic isn't speaking to me like the one I got a hold of. The beatiful inlay work on ebony really adds a lot of class.

He'll probably think I'm a freak, but I'll see if I can snap a picture of it this Wednesday.
