well i went to a used guitar store yesterday and found a carvin MTS 3200 half stack.

FOR $495 both the cab and head together.

now this is a 1000 dollar amp, and it is an insane price.

100 watt tube, but can be brought down to 50.

is this worth getting?

it sounds insane. if i do decide to get it, ill trade my epi LP in for it.

before i was planning on getting a fender hot rod deluxe.

but a price like this on a carvin can't be beat.

only thing im worried about though is transportation. carrying it around for gigs and stuff must be a pain.

is it still worth it?

Well, how big are your gigs? It wouldnt be worth it if you were doing a coffee shop or something.

That amp should be all you'd need for quite awhile. If the 4x12 gets to be a drag to lug about you could always get a 1x12 cab for practices and small venues (using the 50w setting), then bring out the 4x12 when you need it. It's a great price for a tube halfstack :)

not to mention, its carvin :D

carvin has a rep for insane quality, on guitars and amps.
