Guitar picks always seem to slide around in my hand when I'm playing . . .
so I went online shopping for one that had some kind of texture to it.
When I saw this I said,
"Ewwwwwww"
My birthday is next week so . . .
I asked my wife if she would like to buy this for me . . .
She said yes. :D
I just sent for it.

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
Wow, that's pretty cool looking, hope it feels pretty good for you as well.
In Space, no one can hear me sing!
It is cool looking!
I couldn't resist the name "Snarling Dog Brain Picks With Cat Tongue Grip!" Those folks have a way with words! They won't slip, either.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
It's 3 millimeters in thickness.
I wanted something that was more 3 dimensional . . . not 2 dimensional (flat)
I hope that's not too thick . . . I'll see . . . I guess.
Just think . . . that piece of stone has been sitting in the ground for millions of years . . .
. . . . just waiting for me.
Come to papa.

There's lots of other sites that make polished stone picks . . . I just stumbled on this site first.
Not spamming,

very cool! and unique! You'll definitely draw attention to yourself when you flash that thing in front of others!
I myself just switched to Dunlop Jazz III picks in red. Not the greatest for strumming, but they force me to hold the pick lower than i'm used to - which was way too high previously. These things are great for picking. Switched from Dunlop Gels medium.
more pictures would be awesome when you get it in
I just did some "research" on just how thick 3 mm is . . .
An American penny is about 1.6 mm in thickness so . . . a dime is about 1.37 mm so . . .
this is about the thickness of two pennies . . .
(Canadian pennies are a little skinnier (1.27 mm). . . I thought you should know that)
And I have no idea of what Euro coins even look like . . .

3mm is also mighty close to 1/8".
Pretty thick for a pick.
Not as thick as a brick.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
so ... how does it feel to be thick as a brick?
-=tension & release=-
"mortar"fied . . . oops . . . I mean . . . mortified.

Didn't Billy Gibbons play with some Mexican coin?

In a Mexican slot machine?

A few months back, the guy who owns "Starpics" joined GN....and mentioned his stone picks. I was sceptical, but he sent me a couple to try and I found them very easy to use. The grip is good, there's a vastly reduced pick noise and they're pretty nice looking too.
Here's a link to the review I wrote.....

And a couple of pick pics...
I still use them from time to time, but I think I'm so set in my ways, and so used to NOT using a pick, they don't really get the use they deserve.
:D :D :D
