I got that same 51' from my parents, and a $30 dollar gift card for guitar center from an aunt. Used that to buy tubes for my Epi Valve Special.

Also got the following books:
Everything about Playing Blues (A nice looking book, about an inch or so thick, and a cd with goodies!)
Hal Leonards Jimi Hendrix Experience Smash Hits Book, with CD
Same as above but it's all Stevie Ray

I still havn't exchanged with my best friend who's my partner in crime when it come to guitar. I got him Guitar Chords Plus, which is a nice looking book full of guitar chords. Hes into the emo and acoustic stuff, so everytime we jam he comes out of nowhere with some new chord. This book has so many chords he shouldn't ever run out.

Awesome. :D Did you end up getting a left handed one?

I love looking at everyone's gifts. My husband allowed me to order one of the Squire 51's that everyone has been buying so I guess that counts as part of my Christmas as well. He is unsure why I need it seeing as how he just bought me the tele. I tried to explain that GAS is a very serious disease but he just rolled his eyes.

All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.

Heh heh! It's a righty...which explains why he was suggesting getting one so heavily.

Looks like Santa was generous to everyone this Christmas! :D

Some music related stuff I got:

Black pickguard for my Tele:

New Beatles CD:

and I got this for my boy, but I have to admit that I've been playing it almost just as much as him!

My family knows that I end up buying the guitar stuff I want myself, so they don't bother! I did get two cool books though, the first 60 years of the Telecaster, and the great big illustrated book of guitars. The big one is 600 pages of guitar pictures. Good times!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Sounds like a good place to look for ideas for projects

It's Justin Chancellor of Tool.

Not to be a technical jerk, but he is playing a Wal bass.
Fine by me. I've probably only ever heard 10 Tool songs and I know nothing about bass guitars.

Schecters look nice to me too, but I always read mixed reviews. Otherwise I would have put even more thought into buying Bish's C1+ a while back.

I got...
-Stationary bike (I know that's so lame in some peoples eyes, but I'd like to have since I can just get up, walk five feet and ride anytime I want to get a great workout.)
-Weights (I wanna build some more muscles man, pushups just don't do it lol)
-2007 Pink Floyd calender
-Some "stocking stuffers" You know, just those little things here and there.
-Socks
-Some nice shirts
-Money*

*But all the money is going towards a guitar.

Yea, I had a great Christmas compared to last year. :)

My wife bought me this Fender 70's resissue Strat for Christmas. It plays and sounds very good almost as good as my American Strat. I added the black guard and Duncan little 59 right after I opened it.

So many guitars so little money.

That's a real beauty, congrats! :D

You know, all these posts show that shopping for a guitar player must be the easiest chore ever.
