I've been thinking...(run, hide, now!)
Instead of buying a new les paul I wias thinking about maybe...buying a squier (somewhere a bunny just dies because of that comment)
Since I rarely use a neck pickup I was thinking maybe i should get a 51 or the obey start and mod it up.. The one question I have is, will the tele sound like a less paul with a pickup swap? I actually like the graphics (based on my political beliefs), and other than that and the body hape the two look the same. Any thoughts?
Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?
Being, basically, a different construction and different woods, I would have to say that I don't think that they would sound anything like one another.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I have a Squier '51 and an Agile Al2000 LP copy and I highly doubt you can get the Squier to sound like an LP. The '51 is made out of a MUCH lighter wood and the LP is made from mahogony which is a lot heavier. Plus the overall shape of each guitar will make them sound different. I suggest if you want the LP sound look into the Agiles. The 2000's are only $159 and sound GREAT! Or you can step up to the 2500 or 3000 models. Also the '51 has such a unique sound that I don't understand why you would want to change it. It is a very versitile guitar.
Or buy a Godin, it will weigh less than the LP, but sound heavier than the '51.

I would get a LP copy and up grade the pups, a friend of mine got a Epi LP, the tone was lacking , then he put some nicer pups on it and now it sounds sweet :D
