Just for curiosity I am wondering what percentage of paid guitar teachers can read standard notation. Please only answer the poll if you are or have been paid to teach guitar.

Cheers,

Max

Not a teacher myself, but my teacher did read it. Most (near) full-time teachers in Holland have followed an conservatorium education where (sight) reading is a vital skill to getting your degree. IMHO teachers *should* be able to read them.

Yes, paid to teach and I read notation...most kids I've talked to who've used other teachers have used the Alfred's book, which teaches notation.
