i wanna record some really basic stuff on my pc so i dont forget it. id write it out, but i cant get the timing correct. this way its there and i can recognize the strumming and timing. wat FREE programs are out there to do this???

There's a program called audacity that is pretty good. Watch out though, I did the exact same thing and now I can't remember the fingering or chords for any of my songs or other stuff, haha. :lol:
