I want to replace my strat pickguard and i want to know a few things.
First, the pickguard on musician's friend doesn't tell you how many holes it has. I think Fender sells pick guards for 8 or 11 hole pickguard holes. How can I determine this becuase if i count the holes now, I have 19 holes, coutning all the screws I have a fender standard strat. If i do decide to get the pcik guard, how do i remove the volume and tone controls, because i don't see how you can do it without breaking something

To remove the controls, you just (with the pickguard still screwed tight into the guitar) pull the knobs off. On my Strat I had to use screw drivers because they were tough to get off, but they just pop off. From there, you then unscrew a nut. Make sure you grab the washer, and then the pot will just fall into the body.

As far as 8 holes or 11, count the screw holes around the edges of the pickguard that attach the pickguard to the body.
