Hey all. I've been getting a few lessons from various people trying to find myself a good teacher. I've decided on a weekly lesson which will mainly focus on following the RGT Acoustic Guitar Playing course/grades. Its not like I care too much for the grade, but I do like assessments as you know where you are with a score in black and white. Its a kick up the ass for improving :D

I wondered if anyone else had tried this course out? It may be thats a new one and so I might be a bit premature (not for the first time :) ). Cheers.

I haven't tried it out yet, but I was looking at it. I have done some Rockschool grades on electric guitar and found them to be very thorough in teaching a range of playing styles and also testing your other knowledge (listening skills, theory, etc). If it is anything like the Rockschool (and I think it is accredited by Trinity School of Music, as is Rockschool) then it should be a good course. Sorry I can't offer more advice than that at this time.
