In addition, I need to update a new picture... I bought a Lite Ash Tele neck (not Bish's!) to pop on this to dress it up. Wow... 22-frets and fits like a dream. Intonates perfectly. Adding the 22nd fret is nice. I did have to cut the pickguard slightly to get it to fit, though. I'll take a new picture shortly.
 :D

so I'm no. 76, eh?
Does anyone know an inexspensive way of obtaining (not stealing) a black pick guard?

Please add me to the list, Dali Lima! Sign me up for 3 (2 black, 1 sunburst). I wanted a blonde but couldn't find one by the time I was ready to purchase.
Thanks!!!

I've heard of a number of people that have spray-painted their pickguard. Also, you could try black vinyl covering adhered to your white one...

I havn't found my tone yet, and I have no mojo....but I'm working on it :)
Thanks Dali and Scott. 27USD altogether, not bad i think. But it says all squiers are different and you may need to alter it. How would I do this?
Also does anyone have a link to somewhere selling white decal paper?
Triple_C
Alter could mean having it fit properly or even having all the screw holes lining up correctly.

I bought the MOP (a.k.a. MOTS) and tortoise versions -- very satisfied, though they require fitting around the neck and screw holes.

I used one of those spray paints made for plastic surfaces. Mine even goes with my Epi Valve Head.
Call me crazy, but I think the white looks good on the Sunburst. >_>
CRAZY :P
I would agree if the darn thing wasn't so big and ugly, A smaller white pick guard would look good
WOW, I haven't seen that list in a while.
Dali,
The man in charge of THE LIST, I now have only one 51. :( Sold the VB 51 and used the cash to buy parts for my SB 51 and my SX mahogany strat. :D

I can't believe with the pound doing so well against the dollar that we pay over double the US price!!!
That said I was very tempted by one in the local store yesterday ;)
