Ok, just checked around on ALL the web guitar stores and they are blowing these out everywhere for $99 free-shipping.

I'm not quite sure. I'll tell you when I get it... I was trolling for a cheap Squier or MIM black tele for a project when I stumbled across this deal for $99. I have heard great reviews and stories about this model, so I figured it was worth $99 to find out (for a project, bang around guitar).

You get a fair amount for your money... I've heard the necks are very nice. It has single coil and a humbucker - and the humbucker is split with a push/pull knob. We'll see.

it makes a GREAT project and surprisingly it's much m ore than a banger guitar

After seeing my boss's Squier 51 at a gig last week, I really wanted one. I had wanted one for awhile anyway after reading so many good reviews. I couldn't believe how nice a guitar it really was.

Well, been spending a lot on guitar lately, so I thought I'd put this purchase off for awhile. But after seeing this price, and that it might be discontinued, I ordered too.

I ordered the vintage blonde with black pickguard. I've heard some folks get a white pickguard instead. I really hope I get the black.

Roy, the Squier 51 is a great guitar compared to cost. They are as nice as guitars you pay $500 or more for. But not only that, that have a fantastic neck. I was able to play one last week and it's neck was almost identical to my Fender American Telecaster. Just super.

But these guitars have great tone too. I have owned a Squier Tele for several years now, and while they do not have that pristine clean Fender tone, they have a great "dirty" tone. And I think you can hear that in those YouTube clips. When it comes to Blues, I prefer the tone of my Squier to my Fender. So it did not surprise me when this guitar came out and people raved over the great Blues tone it gets. But the '51 has a few extras. It has a humbucker and coil tap. So you can get a wide variety of tones.

And my boss's '51 was really sharp. It has better hardware than my Squier Tele. The finish on his guitar was absolutely beautiful. Squier makes darn good guitars with good quality.

So, all this for $99? That is what the fuss is about.

Man, if they discontinue these guitars, they are gonna be worth some money 20 years from now.

Little expensive, but at least you can get black. I like that Tortoise Shell pickguard.
