I like that, OWA! Very cool!
I'm glad you're sticking around here, too.

I can never tell the difference between a Jazzmaster and a Jaguar. I there an easy way to tell the two apart?

Didn't they make a guitar for Kurt Kobain that was a cross between a Jaguar and a Mustang called a Jagstang?

Yep. I don't think there's much about it out there, but I do remember hearing about the Jagstang.
Here's some info...Wiki

John Frusciante (Chili Peppers) does have a few I believe. He's a big classic guitar buff, seems like he has lots of old Fender models.
Don't know if that's your style of play, but if you can play like him...... wow. That would be cool.

Thanks Dudes!

Well I've had the guitar for a week, so here's a review:
First off, the guitar is light. Slightly lighter than a Strat. It has a finished maple neck which is easy to get around. It's 24" scale which has a lot of perks. It hangs on my body without having to be at a high angle. Also makes barre chords nearly effortless. The clean tone is a bit on the dark and moody side, which is expected out of humbuckers. The dirty is a thick crunch with some bite. It's pretty versitile having two circuits and a tone knob for each circuit. Only complaint is the 'strangle' makes little difference on the bridge pickup.
Thinking of getting rid of the Squier Strat. The Jaguar does all the tones of my Strat and more so I don't see a reason to keep it. Almost want a Mustang, loving the scale of the guitar too much.
i want one too! light is a big plus for me as i have back pain.
Owa´s new Jaguar seems to have many benefits for a not soo tall and strong Guitar player.
Lightweight body and short scale will make playing easier for many players.
Why are not more guitars designed this way ??
The Yamaha RGX A2 guitar should also be very lightweight with lots of sustain.

Well, the main differnce on sight is probably the pickups - Jazzmasters use P-90's/Soapbars, whereas Jags have single coils (Strat-like ones).
Additionally, the Jaguar has waaaaaaay more switches/circuits than the Jazzmaster.
Great axe btw, I love Jags/Jazz's
Nice Axe, OWA.
Gassing some.....

"I play live as playing dead is harder than it sounds!"
Lol, we going to have another '51 craze with Jaguars now? Well, Wes has people wanting SG's too, so maybe not.
I've been looking at replacing the strat with one of these:
