OK for anyone you familiar with this I have a question that is driving me nuts. I learned this song in standard tuning and it sounds right when I play with the record but when I've looked it up all the tabs ect I've found show it down a half step.

I can't see any reason why they would need to play it down a half step any ideas?

It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!

It's usually because it makes it easier for the singer to hit all the notes and not lose his voice . It is a common practice , especially with how high the male lead singers' voices are in rock and roll bands , to tune the guitar down a half-step .

If I claim to be a wise man , it surely means that I don't know .
