Anyone here change the pickups on their Telecasters? I'm thinking of getting a Seymour Duncan Little '59. Gives more of a humbucker sound, although I'll probably lose a little of the twang. May give it a more "Keith Richards" type sound. Anyone with experience, comments? Thanks.

His(Keiths) bridge p/u is stock, but the neck p/u is a Gibson PAF I think. Check out the "Rails" series too.

BTW I think you half to mod it to get it like Keith, he also removed the big e string and tuned it to G to get a less boomy sound. 8)

i had some texas specials in mine, sounded pretty good.

I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

I put a dimarzio classic PAF(the real deal) in a standard tele on maple and it sounded awesome. Im not sure i would recommend putting any other humbucker in a tele besides PAF types, and i can reccomend dimarzio to anyone. Or you could talk to lindy fralin and have him wind you up something nice for about 150 bucks.
