1. PRACTICE
2. PRACTICE
3. Oh yeah MORE practice
So many guitars so little money.
1. get all my guitars hung on wall stands
2. master the one chord boogie patterns
3. be able to play the texas shuffle
4. learn some new blues songs, like zz top, george thorogood, and all that good stuff
1. find a good teacher and start taking lessons
2. find some people (hopefully who are a lot better than me) that I can play with
3. Learn at least the basics of reading music
4. learn more songs
5. maybe play a song at church
All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.
hmm..
-practice more
-get a mic or pickup or something
-play my electric more (with a new vox 847 wah)
-get gameshow rag/cannonball rag and cascading harmonics down fullspeed
sounds like fun eh
Well, I've had some requests, but I'm going to play anyway.
Heh, as my resolution Id like to be able to make my own riffs and add some solos to them. I know plenty of songs and am happy with that. Soloing is my biggrest worry.
See you on the Dark Side of the Moon!
I'm sure there's a coupla threads about this on the boards, but anyway:
I wanna get my Classcial Guitar Grades 7 and 8 and put all the certificates up on the wall
I wanna move house and I wanna spend more time at home when I get there.
I would like to be able to have the guitar teaching work expanded enough to be able to stick it to the man and give up working for somebody else for a change. We'll see how it goes.
Best,
A :-)

Well I still have some time left so here goes:
- Practice every day, hopefully at least an hour a day
- Work on Classical and Jazz guitar
- Maybe take lessons in the summer
- Study more theory
- Study piano, violin and harmonica

Basically I plan on finishing my 2006 goals...
But more than anything keep learning and practicing and enjoying .
Hmmm my goals do seem more possible after I learned about this site so:
1.) Write some full songs :P
2.) Finally get an understanding on scales and modes
3.) Learn to sing better
4.) And finally really understand music notation w/out giving up this time. :x
Well yea those are the main ones ^-^ oooh I hope it happens lol
"These pretzels are makin' me thirsty."
Good idea to write some goals out. :)
So..
1. Reduce the amount of time I spend talking about guitars, writing about guitars, reading about guitars, coveting new guitars, etc and increase the time I spend actually playing them.
2. If I can achieve the first one, the my goals of becoming better at playing and improvising should fall into place. :)
3. Improve my singing. I mostly play rhythm so being able to 'solo' over the top with a voice, without frightening off the local wildlife, would be a huge bonus.
EDIT:
Just noticed - that was my 1000th post on GN - I've just been Denizenised... Now I'm going to have to keep those Resolutions...
My goals:
- Learn to play lead guitar
- Learn to solo on guitar
- Continue to improve songwriting skills.
I want to buy at least 5 vintage guitars for investment purchases....
