The title explains a lot of the point of this thread, what kind of guitar is this here pictured with Beck? Excuse me if it's well known, I generally haven't a clue about types and makes of guitar.

We're like The Beatles, except there's four of us.

Looks like one of the Silvertone/ Danelectro breed

The curvy pickgaurd looks like a Danelectro, but the rest doesn't seem to. That sharp cut out on top rules that out I'd say.....

Look at the last picture on the page I linked to. Without a full shot of the headstock it's a little hard to be absolutely certain. Danelectro- Silvertone actually had a number of headstocks though the years, take a look at the page. :)

I think you're right, the guitars on the page seem awfully similar to the one in the picture for it not to be the same kind. Are these guitars expensive? Ebay doesn't return much on them.

The vintage ones can get a little high for what they are.
Here's another site

http://www.danguitars.com/Silvertone.html

if you look at his inventory, button on the left-hand side, I think the prices for the reissues are just on the high-side of the going rate.
If anyone has actually bought from this guy, I'd like to know. There's a double-cut I'm considering.

Hmm, Beck, it was Knopfler for me, a Silvertone Hawk and sliding on a Dan. double cut. Course the jammy man got them as gifts from friends.

I thnk you can tell enough from the little bit of the headstock you see to tell it's a danelectro (or at least a copy of it...if such a thing was ever made...). Look at how

1. all the strings slant to the upper part of the headstock indicating their are tuners only on the one side, like the silvertones.
2. You can't see any tuners on the bottom side of the headstock.

Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.

That looks like a perfect match, including the short scale.
