What to do...

Well just heard from the repair shop on my Vox AD30VT amp it is unfixable. Some board is completely shot also the speaker has damage also. So I am looking for a new amp. At this time I am looking for an amp that has a great tone at low levels. Effects are not important right now, I will be purchasing some in the near future to dial in a particular tone. I live in an apartment complex and mainly play at low volume levels and sometimes with headphones. I like to jazzy type sounds and classic rock tones, ex. Gilmour. Not to much into playing modern rock. I will be going to guitar center tomorrow so I wanted to compile a list of a couple to experiment with. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Looking to spend up to $400.
