Clazon - if you are in London just go to Denmark Street and have a nose around all the guitar stores and buy a few picks while you are there.

In the past I've done that aswell as scouting out my other local stores, but they only sell thme individually. Seeing as I'm already on a shoe string budget, getting a pack or two online would be more convenient (money and volume wise). The same with strings.
EDIT:
I visited Weston Super Mare when I was 10. A very enjoyable school trip!
