i have also a chord progression of G-A-C-D and the song seems to be in A minor for the people who know what there talking about is that right?? Can i use the A minor penatonic for a solo with this song?

I really like that chord progression for starters, it's different but in a very good way.
As far as the riff goes, I think it's creative but I don't find it very catchy. The problem is that I don't really know the rhythm of the riff so it's hard to say, if you could record it, it would be easier to critique.

The way you play it, it may already be catchy. If you record it (or write it in standard notation) so we know how it goes, it would be much easier to judge.
i really dont know how to use standard notation or have the ability to record ive been working on different phrasing to work with it but ive noticed it is a big quirky thinking maybe it need to go
