I've got a xaviere gold top blem that I took in trade for a pedal. I can't find the blem either! Nice guitar the neck is very similar to the standard LP than the Epi.
Been fighting with the forum software for two weeks trying to get inline images to show...no joy.
So here's a smattering of the musical goodness that's graced our household over the last month or so, with links that actually need to be clicked:
Schecter Omen 6, picked it up for $125, has a Duncan George Lynch "Screamin' Demon" in the bridge position...hot as hell, and drives the...
...big 60W Fender Pro Tube Concert Amplifier and the...
...little Bugera V5...very well indeed. :)
On the bass side of things, we have my son's new (used)...
Schecter Omen 5
Run through his new (well, also used)...
Ampeg Ba-115 (with his Mustang II to the left)
Not included is the Boss DM-2 analog delay pedal that I literally found in a box, with no idea how or when I acquired it. Not being a huge delay user, I flipped it on eBay for enough to buy the used Omen 5 outright. That was a good week indeed. :)
That haze looks nice, but I also have a new amplifier to report.
I picked up a vintage USA made amp just this afternoon, on a whim.
It's a APLPHA 7! Those of you alive in America in the seventies would certainly recognize this bad boy if and when I get a pic of it up. I remember one in my cousin's bed room back in '80 or '81.
Two inputs, volume and tone pots - super cheapo chip board amp. It looks like a teisco checkmate or a musicvox amp from the late 60' early 70. It weighs about 5 pounds and its only 'bout 5 inches deep. This little thing has a really respectable clean sound. Best $3 I have spent in some time.
If anyone knows anything about these amps and when they were made I'd love to know. All it say on it is ALPHA 7 - Solid State _ Made in the USA. I'm not sure but I think this thing could worth 5 times what I paid for it!

Paul B
Me too.
@ Pilot,
WOW...wierd. I have the same shecter, mine is all natrual wood, may walnut or something like that? Thing screams and is really hot on the high end. I want to put a new pick-up in the back, just dont know what would sound decent. And, also that amp. I have the same one, but mine is a concert II, made in '83...the Rivera era. It really needs a tube job, though. Soon as I get home (in about 2 weeks), I'll post my gear.
Just got my new Hotstick preamp from Derringer Amplifiers. I am really impressed. Anyone have one, or anything like it? I am always looking for a way to improve my tone. This thing has a lot of kick to it.
My main axe: Ibanez 1977 Musician...heavily modified
I have happily added a new main axe to the collection, I now have an HH guitar and a single coil guitar, a G&L Comanche, basswood body with flame maple top. Hard maple nech with rosewood fretboard. Noiseless z-coil G&L pickups.
I had my luthier put a bone nut and set it up. The dual fulcrum tremolo is just awesome.
ESP LTD F-50
Currently rebuilding a VERY old Kent Explorer
Roland Cube 15xl
Boss ME-70
Zoom G2.1DM<--- Just got yesterday, so far very good other than the 5 second looper. Wish that was a little longer.
'68 Silvertone, SRV Strat (clear pickguard), Ibanez Artcore hollowbody, Peavey Classic 30, I think the 4x12 is a Marshall with the nameplate removed.
1 volume pedal, in case I need to turn down the hollowbody while I'm busy playing. Never did master the two-knob volume thing.
That's what I play the blues gigs with these days.
