I just got a new Takamine acoustic/electric a few months ago and it recently started making a popping and cracking sound when I plug it in. If i just sit there and don't move the chord it's ok but when it moves it starts making the sound. It's not the chord because that chord works with other guitars and other chords do the same thing with my guitar. I'm a newbie. What's the problem?
Could be a bad plug on the guitar or a loose wire inside. Need to take it back to the store it should still be under warrenty.
May want to check paper work to see how long the warrenty is on the electronics. Usually a lot shorter than the guitar itself.
probably the end pin jack. take it back if you can. they can fix it in a couple of minutes if they have a tech in the shop.
