This is probably a stupid question but how do you put locking tuners on an SG?

The tuner is held fast by the nut, at the front of the headstock. It is held from spinning by a single screw (sometimes two, on, for example, Klusons). Simply remove the screw(s), undo the nut and the old tuner comes straight off.
This where you have to start careful consideration. Tuners require specific holes, both diameter and, on some, shape. Either ensure that you have new tuners that require the same hole as the old ones, or be prepared to ream out the holes. I'm not sure that putting in new tuners, which need a smaller hole, than is already there, is a good idea. Furthermore, some tuners use a separate sleeve, that needs it's own diameter hole

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
