Hi there - does anyone out there have (or have access to) a color chart for Bill Lawrence humbuckers? I have a late 1970's blade humbucker (L-510R) from Bill and Becky but I can;'t find any wire color charts. I want to install the humbucker in a strat I'm fixing up with a coil split.

Any ideas? I tried emailing Bill directly but he never answered. Thanks!

And this says the same thing, but might be easier to understand:

This is what I got from the chart on the HAS Sound site ( http://www.has-sound.com/index.htm ), where all it says for the brand is "Lawrence." I think that's Bill Lawrence Designs (Willi Stich; Wilde USA) rather than Bill Lawrence USA (Jzchak Wajcman; SwampKaster), which shows something different on their site. (For the L-500XL.)
Coil with Screw Pole Pieces
Start Finish Polarity
Green Black North

Coil with Slug Pole Pieces
Start Finish Polarity
White Red South

(Ground-Blue)

Much as I admire Bill's (Willi's) designs like the Q-Filter and other innovations, I haven't had an email or phone call returned yet by anyone at BL Designs. (And I'm talking early January and again in late March.)
At least now I have the color code for the BL USA L-500XL that was in the bridge of my Ibanez RG120 when I bought it.

And this says the same thing, but might be easier to understand:
http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/I-LAWRENCE.html The Stew-Mac document refers to "Lawrence Research," which I think was/is another name for Bill Lawrence USA. (And Stew-Mac carried BL USA pups at one time.) It says Black and Bare go to ground, which is the same as the diagram on the BL USA site.
If it's a "Bill and Becky product," the only difference might be a blue ground wire in place of the bare one.

Thanks... yeah, there really is no resource for these humbuckers. You'd think there would be something posted on Bill's website, but that site looks like it was created by 1,000,000 monkeys on a 1,000,000 computers.

Anyway... I'll keep searching, and worst case scenario I'll use this information and fool around. Thanks!
