Last night I finished wiring my new guitar and it worked fine. Today when i got off work I was trying to tune it and nothing happened on my tuner. I plugged it into the amp and still nothing, I started moving the cable around and it cuts in and out. Tried 3 different cables and two amps and the same thing keeps happening.

Anyone have a clue???? I checked all of my connections and they seem alright, i'm guessing it will have something to do with the input jack because that is where the cord goes in but i could be wrong. Hopefully someone will be able to help me because this guitar is really making me mad.

I was having a problem with that too when I just recently finished wiring up my guitar. Of course, I had a stripped hex nut on my output jack, so the thing wiggled around like a kid in a carseat driving cross country, and made my soldering connections come loose. But the effect was similar, cutting in and out. Frustrating. It's pretty easy for soldering to come loose on the jack, so you may just want to check that, especially if it was working last night. BTW, what kind of guitar is it? (Sorry if you mentioned it already in another post somewhere.)

I am where my mind put me.

you simply have a wire that is shorting. it is easy to solder. start with the jack wires. one is loose.
