I have a Epiphone g-310 and it is rather old. Its from like 1992, but for the most part plays really well. The only issue is that when I turn the volume and tone knobs, a staticy noise comes out of my amplifier. Does this mean something electrical could be wrong with my guitar?

The pots are probably a little dirty, maybe a little corroded inside. If you can get to them, spray a drop of contact cleaner inside and turn the knobs for awhile. It is very likely this will correct the problem.

Rubbing alcohol will work too if you don't have contact(tuner) cleaner.

1992 is rather old...that cracks me up.

almost all my instruments are older than that and several are older than me!
and Im am old geezer.

periodically it is good to clean things out. pressurized air works wonders.
wiping thew guitar down with a soft cloth, and changing strings are others.
enjoy your guitar. btw, sometimes just working the knobs removes the corrsion.but thats for a guitar that hasnt been played in a while.
like in a really long time, as in more than a week
