Alright, this is a horrible question.

My acoustic guitar has sort of a dull finish, and i have noticed most acoustic guitars are very glossy. Any way I could get mine glossy like that without damaging it?

One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.

You might be able to buff it out with a polish and shine it up. Only thing is, once you start you can't go back. I bought my boy a Fender Highway 1 Strat that came from the factory with a matte finish. The guys at the store had hand rubbed it with a Meguiar's polish and brought it up to a lovely soft sheen. Then they put on a reliced Mint Green pickguard that looks really cool on that maroon guitar body. The same technique should work on a satin finished acoustic, but if it's your first time your guitar might not come out looking as good as you'd like.

A less permanent thing that might work would be to rub it down with something like Johnson's Paste Wax or another furniture wax (not one of the cloudy automotive waxes) and buff it with a cloth. It'll be slick!
