Hi guys, I've got a question about my mexi strat. I just put new strings on it, i changed from .09s to .10s and it seems like the saddle (place the strings go through) is rising up a bit. I dont know if this is usual or if I need a setup. Any ideas would help thank you.

If it is only rising a bit, you're ok. You can always tighten the screws on the back of the trem to re-adjust.

Its a great thing when you realize you still have the ability to surprise yourself.

Yes that will happen when you go up in string size. It puts more tension on the bridge.

two things need addressing:

1. ) you need to tighten the spring claw for the tremelo, this will lower the bridge down a bit. I think fender recommends 1/8 inch.

2. ) The tension on the neck might cause your neck to upbow slightly causing the action to be higher and the string tension to be a bit stiff (especially on the middle of the neck) you need to adjust the truss rod so that the neck has the desired relief (relief is intentional upbow to prevent strings from buzzing).

hope this helps
