I post something like this is another forum, so excuse the repeat if you belong to bought forums....

Well I may have been yappin' about that inexpensive reso I bought with wiring problem a ways back.

Today I tackled it, with success.

I couldn't quite tell what was inside, so I took some pics....

Just pics off the thing.....

So that's what's in there!!!!

Not what I expected......nothing.

Notice the lil white wire....I think part of the problem.

single cone spider bridge. nice looking ax. I don't remember the brand. maybe that white wire is a bleeder. it bleeds off all those notes you don't play.

It's a Jay Turser.

I think the wire is a ground.

The advertising for that guitar says it has 1 mini-humbucker,and 1 piezo pickup, which I would guess is on the cone somewhere (maybe in the middle under the bridge?).
My guess is that piezo pickup is where the white wire wants to end up.
The shape of the bend in the wire looks like it wants to go somewhere near that area as well, unless you bent the white wire to it's current shape.

I wrapped a newspaper ’round my head
So I looked like I was deep

White wire went to the tail piece.

There was a black wire from the Piezo & the humbucker.

Piezo is under the bridge.
