I've had my Seagull S6+ for a while (3+ months); it's finished with a laquer, high gloss top, with satin (matte) sides, back, and neck. Lately it seems that my neck has now too decidely become gloss. Now I'm not a generally slimy person, so I'm wondering if my constant playing could have polished the neck. I just started playing recently and I play 3-5 hours a day.
So I suppose my question is, is this just wear on the neck, or could it be related to something else?

it's just your hand moving on the neck. i also have an S6+ Folk, and the neck is decidedly glossy. Don't worry about it, it's nothing bad. mine used to be owned by Nick, and he compounded the top of it and turned half of it glossy!! so it's just the friction of your hand.

the gloss finish looks mighty nice though.

thanks! I was kinda getting freaked out there, but I have heard that laquers tend to polish with wear.... I kinda like the look though :)
