i have a Harmony Bass Guitar Vintage H 22-1. Well! when i was playing in the 90's harmony were for sale at department stores like Ames!So I thought it was cheap! Well to much of my ebay research, these are going for 500 to 1200.! So this is what I did.

I drilled out the headstock for the tuners so I could make it look cool and put bigger tunning knobs on. Well know I want old ones back! can I fill these in some how? or should I get a washer type thing? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you really want to go back you'll need a bushing that has an outer diameter equal to the new hole you've drilled with an inner diameter equal to the old hole. This is an example of what you need though I don't know if these are the right size - http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/tuners_partsbushings.htm

Now, if there is a collectible market for the guitar you have it's value has already dropped by some amount whether or not you put the old tuners back in because of the increased hole size. If you don't put them back in you want to keep them so that you can replace them in the future or include them when you sell the guitar.

You could also glue wooden dowels into the enlarged holes, and then redrill to the original size. Might need to do a bit of careful finish repair.

both replies are right on.

since you have installed the large tuners, leave em on.
keep the old parts in the case.

now if you want to put the originals back on, follow gneases tip.

then when that is all settled,,,drill a hole in your head to let those impulses drain out.
