There are probably 100 posts on this subject but is changing pickups a big deal? just mount and solder right? Lookin at Dimarzio Evolution for my bridge on my Ibanez s470. Any advice?

Assuming no complex wiring schemes, yes it's reasonably simple to swap pups.
