I'm using an Ibanez SR300M and a Peavey MAX126 and monster cables to join those two. I dont know whether its the problem of the amp or the bass but whenever i plug the bass in, my amp also catches the radio in the background. Its really annoying at times. I would really appreciate it if you have any suggestions. Thank you.

Turn off the radio....sorry I had to say that. I know this has come up before you might want to search through the posts but it's a shielding issue I believe.

Classic grounding and/or shielding problem.
Or it could be a faulty jack/plug/cable.
Also, Monster cables aren't a magic fix for anything. All they do is cost more money than their competitors.

As the past few comments have already said, its most likely a shiwlding problem. Its yourself and the cable that is the antenna and the amp is broadcasting this signal.

Try getting a better shielded cable like a planet waves one. Does your guitar or amp have any hum when not playing??
