(sorry for the terminology)
On my Epi SG the volume knob came off, and one of the little metal forks that holds the knob on broke. so now the knob will not catch on the post. Anyone ran into this (im sure someone has). I dont really wanna spend 10 bucks to order another one from epiphone. Any tips?
If the post is broken, there is only one remedy - replacement - sorry.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Do you have any links? Ive been looking around, i'm sure i could replace it myself, maybe even upgrade it. Can the knobs be upgraded? Does anyone have any info on this?
Is it the knob, or the poteniometer that the knob is attached to that's broken?
In either case you can easily replace them. Here's a few links..
Knobs: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Knobs/Gibson_style.html

If your pot is broken check the rating on it, 250k or 500k.
The Pot is broken, are they really difficult to replace? Do you guys know of any walkthroughs?
Pots aren't too hard if you've got a sodering iron. Just take the wires off the existing pot one at a time and put them on the same pegs as the new pot.
If you've got no experience sodering or don't feel confident about it, take it to a repair shop. They should do the job for you for 15-20 bucks or so, depends on the shop.
yeah sounds good, ill give that a try. Thanks for the help.
